Body of Work
Just Jeans
Just Jeans is a site I have been working on intermittently from 2006 to 2010, rebuilding the site's interface at least three times. It was the first site I worked on at The Just Group at which point I was thrown into learning a propriety back-end eCommerce language known as Interworld. My years picking up archaic languages at Melbourne Uni came in handy for once and I am proud to say that to this day it is still a highly efficient online shopping site easily on par with its competitors.

My last rebuild of this site was in 2008. The design incorporated a lot of flash animation (which was popular at the time) and needed an interface that could completely change its look and feel every week. I also tried to push the boundaries with the Interworld platform and made the site entirely usable without JavaScript. A herculean effort that I had to fight tooth and nail to justify but when patchily supported web enabled phones became popular a few years later I was more than please with the outcome.
Launch SiteSmiggle
Smiggle joined the The Just Group in late 2007 and I was responsible for building its first eCommerce website. The site was redesigned in 2009 and the design included many complex CSS features like dynamic rounded corners and oversized icons that flow outside their containers, which were made even more difficult by the fact that we still had a large number of users on IE6.
Launch SiteJay Jays
Jay Jays was the first online store The Just Group launched on the Web Sphere eCommerce platform by Christmas 2010. I was involved with the platform selection process for the group and in the end IBM's system was the most robust and well supported. Trying to apply everything I had learnt about eCommerce to the new platform was a challenge I was more than happy to tackle.
Launch SiteDotti
Not long after Jay Jays went online Dotti followed. A site which incorporated several social functions using Bazaarvoice. Bazaarvoice allows for moderated product reviews and competitions. We certainly pushed the boundaries of their functionality on both the new sites like Dotti and old ones like Smiggle.
Launch SitePortmans
With several implementations of Web Sphere eCommerce under my belt I was ready to push the boundaries and start to make the most of the new system. Having my team constantly maintain product advertising was a real drain on resources, I decided to implement an AJAX product query using JSON this allowed for real time product lookup which made the maintenance of outfit and campaign interfaces a snap.

The latest implementation of Web Sphere eCommerce at the Just Group. Being my fourth Web Sphere implementation I now had the process down pat. I took a hundred plus page requirement document and turned it into a single spreadsheet that tracked interface implementation, developer phases and testing.
Launch SiteANZ
I spent nearly six years of my early career at ANZ doing web usability, application development, web & graphic design and online visual strategy. I started out doing an Industry-based learning programme while finishing off my Computer Science degree at Melbourne University. By the time I left in 2006, I was the Lead Web Designer for anz.com.

Over the years I have completed many side projects and freelance web design jobs including sites for the Australian
Leonardo Da Vinci Museum, a
Photography site and the website
for a Best selling Australian novel.
I have also always had a passion for making games. Over the years I have made several Flash games and have always found that
nothing stretches programming skills more than when making games.
